Why Choose Lee's Acupuncture?
painless Free-Hand technique
About 90% of acupuncturists in the USA insert acupuncture needles by placing them in a tube that is slightly shorter than the needle, and tapping it into the skin. Dr. Lee is one of the 10% that will insert needles using just his hands, his skill has been built up over thousands of free-hand insertions giving him the ability to choose which depth to enter quickly, pin-point accuracy to avoid puncturing pores (which are very painful), and not scratching your skin with uncomfortable plastic tubes which are often not smooth.
For the vast majority of the history of acupuncture, free-hand was used, it does not make sense to say that thousands of years of history back up the effectiveness of eastern medicine, if we suddenly change how we practice it.

Doctorate level COMPETENCY
Only about 1% of Licensed Acupuncturists in the USA hold the title of Doctor, in many states one does not even need to complete a Masters.
Fortunately the state of California requires a minimum of a Masters of Science degree to attempt the licensing exam.
Dr. Lee strives for more and holds both a 4 year Masters degree, and an additional Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine degree. You can rest assured, at Lee's Acupuncture, you are in qualified hands.

No initial visit fees
Almost all acupuncturists in the United States will charge an initial visit fee, which adds as much as an additional $80 to the treatment cost for first patients as well as patients who have not had a treatment in a while. Lee's Acupuncture believes this is a payment system that makes sense for those with chronic illness, however unfairly punishes those with acute symptoms that may clear up within just a few treatments.
So we just threw the whole "Initial Visit Fee" away! for everyone!
Don't be afraid to get a treatment here, even if you're from out of town or normally are treated somewhere else; there's no extra financial investment in giving us a try!

We accept insurance & super bill
Many acupuncturists are intimidated by accepting insurance, and so only take cash. We believe that despite the added workload of taking insurance, it would greatly help our patients.
We also do Super Bills, this is when the patient pays for the treatment at time of service, and we will give you all the documentation to get reimbursed by your insurance company. Many patients like this option as several insurance companies are more willing to pay when the patient submits a Super Bill.
Find out if your insurance plan covers acupuncture by sending us an E-mail at Dr.Lee@Lee-Acupuncture.com.
Please include your Name, Date of Birth, Address, Insurance provider & Plan#. We will try our best to screen your insurance for you as soon as we are able.
